Playing in the Warrington Sunday Legue 2021

Cheshire Cheese Football Club is an open age team that was established in 2020 and plays in the Warrington Sunday Football League. The 2020-21 season was cancelled midway through the season due to the Covid-19 outbreak and subsequent lockdowns. However, in a handful of fixtures the ‘Cheesemen’ displayed their qualities and upset a few of the big teams in the Warrington Sunday League.

For 2021-22 Season, the league was divided into 2 divisions and Cheshire Cheese FC were put into the Premier Division. The Team has also entered into the Liverpool County FA Junior Cup. The Team attracted several local organisations as sponsors and new kits supplied by Zapkam was launched. The Sponsors are Warrington Kitchen Painters, Pest Protect North West, Warrington Storage Containers and The Locks Barbers.

The Club also launched a veterans team playing in the Cheshire Veterans over 35s League. Both teams play on Sunday mornings at Westy Park, which is a stone’s throw from the pub.
